Artist Style: Visual: Figurative, Functional
Introduced in the 1700’s, floor cloths (canvas rugs) covered the dirt packed floors of pioneer America. This “poor man’s carpet” was practical in expense and often elegant in expression. Annie’s original floor cloths are hand painted, block printed or stenciled on heavy canvas, and protected with layers of acrylic urethane.
