Creative Renewal Arts Fellow - In 1999, the Arts Council of Indianapolis, with generous support from the Lilly Endowment, established the Creative Renewal Arts Fellowship program. Originally conceived as a renewal opportunity similar to an academic sabbatical, this groundbreaking initiative offers mid-career artists and arts administrators the opportunity to renew and refresh their creativity. In it's 9th round, the fellowship offers 30 artists and arts administrators $10,000 for an 18 month fellowship period.

“My work is often described as bright and colorful abstract work containing some narrative imagery. Some works contain a series of symbols easily identified by most viewers. However, the composition, placement, and design of each work are quite different from one to the next. Figures, houses, water, and other symbols are repeated and serve as a language of familiar objects.”

  1. Hello, I’m trying to get in touch with Carol White. We were in school together. I have some questions about Indpls history in the 80s and 90s that I think Caroll may be able to help me with.
