About My Work:

Patterns are where my interest lies, whether created by nature or man, and the production of them in wood has led my artistic pursuits since I was in school. Under the guidance of Ted Ross, I took a deep dive into Clarence Rannefeld’s world of laminated wood pattern design, producing panels of parquetry for use as furniture components. These patterns have a tendency to inform the shape and aesthetic of the pieces they end up inspiring and inhabiting.

Education:

IUPUI, Herron School of Art & Design, BFA Furniture Design, minors in Book Arts and Art History
