For 72 years, Schiedt has photographed jazz musicians and researched jazz history. He has published four books titled, “Ain’t Misbehavin,” “The Jazz State of Indiana,” “Twelve Lives in Jazz,” and most recently “Jazz in Black and White.” He has also mounted exhibitions at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the Canon Art Institute in Ohio, the Midwest Museum of American Art in Elkart, Ind., and many other venues.
