Being an African-American female Gen X’er, I grew up under the influence of hip hop, Pac Man and MTV. My work reflects insight into African American roles and speaks boldly of pride, beauty, diversity and independence. I comment on the relationships between people, places and things all in an attempt to tell the real stories. Because I take on the role of “storyteller”, it is then my duty to see all and tell all.
