JESSICA UCUL is a multidisciplinary image based artist. Themes throughout her work include: family and the maternal, the ambiguity of fantasy and memory, and kitsch as a cultural sensibility of loss. Ucul was raised in Franklin, Indiana and has lived and worked in New York City and Turkey. She received her BFA in Photography from Herron School of Art and Design and her MFA in Fine Art from the School of Visual Arts. Ucul has exhibited nationally with Damien Hirst, Ryan Trecartin,
