I consider myself a contemporary Tonalist. My paintings take inspiration from the American Tonalistic Movement of the late 1800’s which emphasized dark, dreamy and poetic landscapes. I seek to create iconic tonalistic images which evoke a sense of reflection and peace.
Landscapes and Portraits range from $500 to $5,000. See website for details.
Karen studied psychology and art and graduated from Purdue University. She is largely self-taught, but has been inspired and much encouraged by family, friends and other artists over the years.
