About My Work:

Painting, and art in general, is my method of expression and my source of enjoyment. For over a decade I have worked as a decorative painter, helping to beautify people’s homes and businesses with handpainted wall murals and faux finishes. But for the past few years, I have started focusing more and more on my own painting collections.

I love experimenting with different textures and mediums. My current work is very contemporary and abstract in nature, though I do often times find inspiration in more traditional subject matter. Plasterworks is my latest series, and it focuses on different plastering techniques combined with other three-dimensional media. In these pieces, I draw inspiration mainly from nature; from the textures you find in wood to the patterns you find in flowers.

I am also heavily inspired by color, and how its use can set the tone for a piece. Or how certain color combinations evoke a feeling, make a statement, or bring about a memory of a favorite place or time of year.

My new work also studies light, and how it can affect a piece. I love combining different sheens into one piece, mainly through my use of metallics and/or glass. This play on sheen causes the piece to constantly change throughout the day and night, as the lighting changes.

Pricing Information:

$250 minimum charge for all decorative painting projects, including murals and faux painting. Commissioned artwork is $0.70 per square inch.
