Maxxwel Rance

My name is Maxxwel Rance. I am 21 years old studying ceramics at Indiana State University. I make functional wheel thrown pots using a combination of different firing techniques such as wood fire, soda, high fire reduction, and raku to create the desirable effects I try to achieve. Recently I have been focusing on surface texture and design to further accentuate what I am trying to say with my pots. I take inspiration from the combination of flowing organic lines and shapes paired with the hard, sharp edges of geometric shapes and patterns.
