I began working with mosaics as a hobby while attending college. Though I put it down for awhile to start a family, I was able to pick it back up fairly quickly. Creating mosaics has given me a chance to work with many different mediums on a single project. From the rough sketch of the design of each piece, to the finished look of the glass and grout, I am able to create using different textures and styles. Stained glass can be delicate and tough, easy going and temperamental. It allows me to give a project a different look in different settings, from the lighting to mirroring the stained glass. A piece can look completely different with light shining on or from behind it and can completely change depending on how I treat it.
Pricing is anywhere from .50-$1.00 per square inch, depending on the type of materials used and detail of the work.
