Artist Medium: Visual Arts: Bronze; Silver, Copper, Gold, Brass, Found Objects
I am a full-time jewelry designer, primarily a silversmith. My style reflects a range that can not be neatly categorized- from eclectic to traditional to contemporary. Texture and dimension define my artwork. I specialize in etching silver, copper and brass, and roller-printing silver from handmade brass etch plates. Many of my pieces are bezel set with beautiful gemstones or colored with a variety of patinas. I use conventional metal fabricating techniques including forging, fold-forming, hollow construction and chain-making. I also create original chainmaille pieces, as well as eclectic silver and resin constructions. My jewelry collection includes earrings, pendants, bracelets, pins, chains, and occasionally, small utilitarian objects.
My work ranges in price from $18 to $375
I have been part of the Metalsmithing program at the Indianapolis Art Center for approximately 3 1/2 years.
I am self-taught in some techniques I utilize.
I am affliated with the Indianapolis Art Center teaching program and listed as faculty.
