Sandra Wagner

Sandy Wagner is a calligrapher, artist and engraver who maintains a studio in Indianapolis, IN, where she lives with her husband Doug, a professional composer.

Early in her career as a high school choral director, Sandy enrolled in a local calligraphy class for fun and was instantly hooked. Now as a professional lettering artist with more than 50 years of experience, she utilizes the techniques and design philosophies gleaned from her studies with many internationally recognized calligraphers and artists. She has designed covers for major music publishers, produced and exhibited award-winning art, and taught adult continuing studies courses in calligraphy. Her work was chosen for the 2010 Letter Arts Review Annual Juried Issue.

During the past several years, Sandy has expanded her artistic media to include bookbinding, engraving, drawing, pastels, watercolor, mixed media and collage. She is always seeking new ways to incorporate these into her calligraphic expressions.
