The Arts Council of Indianapolis and Indiana Sports Corp are seeking volunteers for this year's Indy Ultimate Race.
The Indy Ultimate is an urban adventure race scheduled for June 24, 2017. Participants will run or walk a route that travels in and out of venues, including Carroll Stadium, Victory Field, Lucas Oil Stadium, Bankers Life Fieldhouse and the Indiana State Museum. Each venue will feature a themed challenge, such as kicking a field goal at Lucas Oil Stadium or running the bases at Victory Field.
The route will also incorporate several other Indianapolis landmarks such as the White River State Park, the Indiana War Memorial and the Canal Walk. The Arts Council has scheduled several bands and an interactive music activity along the Canal Walk.
Volunteers are needed to help move bands in and out and assist with engaging people in the percussion interactive. Please sign up at the link below and choose “Canal” as your preferred location. Volunteers particularly welcome early (before 8am) and late (10:30 p.m. to the end). The middle part of the event would mostly be helping at the interactive activity.
