Agape Performing Arts Company Auditions for "Oliver!"
The Agape Performing Arts Company is pleased to announce auditions for our summer Community Theater production of Oliver!, the award-winning musical adaptation of the classic Dickens' novel, OliverTwist.  This show springs to life with some of the most memorable characters and song ever to hit the stage.

The Agape Performing Arts Company was recently awarded the Most Impressive Theater Award for Best Youth Theater Production in Indianapolis (in the same category as Footlight Musicals and Civic Theater) for their production of Les Miserables last spring. They were also awarded the Best Costumes Award for a Community Theater Production in Indianapolis for the same  show.   https://asota.wordpress.com/2017/12/17/2017-most-impressive-theatre-awards-part-1/

The streets of Victorian England come to life as Oliver, a malnourished orphan in a workhouse, escapes to London and finds acceptance among a group of petty thieves and pickpockets led by the elderly Fagin. When Oliver is captured for a theft that he did not commit, the benevolent victim, Mr. Brownlow takes him in. Fearing the safety of his hideout, Fagin employs the sinister Bill Sikes and the sympathetic Nancy to kidnap him back, threatening Oliver’s chances of discovering the true love of a family.

The Director Kathy Phipps, Assistant Director Ian Phipps, and Musical Director April Barnes plan to cast 15 eight - ten year olds,  20 teens, and 20+ adults.

Oliver! auditions on Monday, May 14  and Tuesday, May 15 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm at the Our Lady of Greenwood Church in the Upper Madonna Hall (please sign up for a one hour slot). Please bring your accompaniment track on a phone or a CD and be prepared to sing a one minute solo.[Due to time limitations, performers will be asked to stop singing after 1 minute and 15 seconds].  Performers will then be taught a simple dance combination.  A parent of performers ages 17 or younger must accompany performers to auditions and stay for a 15 minute parent meeting (which is included in the audition time). Call Backs will be on Thursday, May 17 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm, and we will have a Read Through on Monday, May 21 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm.
