The Placemaker for Big Car Collaborative will be an independent and energetic self-starter who works well with others.
The Placemaker will engage communities, design, test, implement, measure, evaluate, and document human scale programming and projects to support stronger public third places and neighborhoods for all — including parks, community and cultural locations, and streets and sidewalks.
They're seeking a creative and thoughtful person who is excited about designing and implementing innovative strategies for supporting stronger communities and helping people connect with each other in better-utilized public spaces.
They're seeking a person experienced in making places better for people, a person who cares deeply about cities and neighborhoods and those who live there, who enjoys interacting with the public, who enjoys collaboration, who listens and speaks up, who relishes learning.
They're seeking a person who is a great fit for our team and is somebody who'll be able to manage the work, meet deadlines, accept input, understand marketing and promotion, and evaluate and document the work.
The right candidate could have a background in art, planning, design, architecture, nonprofit management, social work, theater, or non of the above. Ultimately, the Placemaker will be a person who fits well with the culture of the organization and with the communities they serve.
