Each year, the Garfield Park Arts Center hosts an annual Hoosier Women in Art exhibition to celebrate local female and female-identifying artists. This year’s theme, Stories, gives artists the opportunity to share their experiences. In the current climate, it’s becoming increasingly important for women’s stories to be seen and heard. Using art as a vehicle for storytelling, this exhibition will feature artwork in a diverse range of mediums created by women and inspired by women. Artists are encouraged to submit artwork that shares their personal experiences or express the story of another woman, this show will represent a cross section of women and female-identified artists.

All female and female-identifying artists working in any 2D or 3D mediums are encouraged to apply. Acceptable media include, but are not limited to: paintings, drawings, fiber arts, digital art, photography, sculpture, ceramics, mixed-media, collage, assemblage, mosaics, metalsmithing and woodworking. Artists can submit multiple pieces of artwork. There is no cost to submit.
