CARMEL ON CANVAS PLEIN AIR PAINT OUT - SEPTEMBER 15, 16 & 17

Carmel on Canvas Plein Air Paint Out provides artists with 3 days of plein-air painting in the Carmel Arts & Design District. There are 4 divisions; professional, non-professional, teen and children. There will be more than $13,000 in total prizes.

Register here.  Registration fees range from $10 to $70 depending on event. There are a limited number of spots for the art fair, which are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

For those coming from out of town:  Rooms are available at Staybridge Suites at $107 a night - blocked Sept 14-19 with a drop date of Aug 18th, 2017. Ask for “Carmel on Canvas” block of rooms when calling direct at (317) 582-1500. The hotel is located at 10675 N. Pennsylvania Street, Indianapolis, IN.

The event will be held rain or shine, with no refunds given.

> 8 – 9 a.m. - Quick Paint 1 Registration & Canvas Stamping

Tent located by the Tarkington Theater entrance
> 9 a.m. - Quick Paint 1 Starts
> 10:30 a.m. – Quick Paint 1 painting must be turned in at Judging Tent
> 10:30 - 11:00 a.m. – Quick Paint 1 “Community Choice” Judging, Awards to Follow

> 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. – Day-of Registration & Canvas Stamping

> 6 p.m. – Tents Closed for Judging
> 7 p.m. – All Day Plein Air Award Ceremony

> 9 p.m. – Tent Closed (all paintings must be picked up)

> 12:30 p.m. – Quick Paint 2 painting must be turned in at Artists’ Lane for Judging
> 1 p.m. – Quick Paint 2 Judging at Artists’ Lane, Awards to Follow
> 2 – 6 p.m. – CARMEL ON CANVAS ART FAIR*

*Registered Carmel on Canvas All Day Plein Air artists are eligible to sell their art at the Carmel on Canvas Art Fair. There are a limited number of spots available – first come, first served.

PLEASE NOTE: Artists may show only their own art. Please provide your own easels and displays for your art. Artists may begin set-up on Sunday at 9 a.m.; however, artists are responsible for their own items.

Carmel on Canvas Creative Kids Zone
Saturday, September 16th, Noon – 3 p.m.
Do you know of a young, budding artist? Come visit us at the Carmel on Canvas Creative Kids Zone! We have two locations available for some kid-friendly art fun. The Creative Kids Zone is FREE to the public.

Purchase Awards
Carmel on Canvas artists have the opportunity to compete for Purchase Awards by painting the sponsoring business’s establishment and winning the listed monetary prize. Purchase Awards paintings are not included in the Plein Air Paint Out Awards entry or prize money, only Purchase Award prize money. Winners will be chosen on Saturday night.
