Design and Technical Director
DePauw University, a top-tier liberal arts college, seeks to hire a full-time salary position as Design and Technical Director. The Design and Technical Director supports the academic program by overseeing all scenery, lighting, sound, video, and other technical needs for all performing arts events, including School of Music, DePauw Theatre, Performing Arts Series, Music on the Square, and other possible events. This position will also work closely with the Assistant Technical Director in all technical needs. Work schedule will include nights and weekends as needed. A master’s degree or equivalent professional experience is required; a degree in technical theatre is preferred. A knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Google Calendar and Google Apps, and Online Data Entry and experience with AutoCAD and/or Vectorworks is desirable, along with qualifications to acquire a Pyrotechnic license from the state of Indiana.
