Established artist seeks studio assistant.
Qualifications: Friendly, dependable, punctual, organized, tidy, ability to follow specific
instructions and work independently, interest in learning about artistic techniques and
procedures. Must be able to lift 30 lbs. Valid drivers license required with good driving
record and reliable vehicle.
Duties and Responsibilities: Assistant artist with basic sewing tasks and other art
projects as assigned. Organize material storage. Occasional pick up and delivery of
materials and artwork. Additional tasks as assigned.
Experience: Basic knowledge of machine sewing. Candidates with paper making or
pulping experience preferred, but not required.
Compensation: $15.00/hour. Mileage reimbursement for use of personal vehicle for
studio errands.
Hours: Variable, based on current studio projects. Average 5-15 per week with flexible
work schedule.
