Art in City Hall
Call for Artists for the 2017 Season
The Fishers Arts Council is currently seeking 2D artists interested in participating in three specific exhibits in 2017 as part of Art in City Hall, an art gallery located in Fishers City Hall (One Municipal Drive). The gallery space is located on two floors of the municipal building (see attached floor plan). While there is a hanging system, there is no special lighting in the exhibit space. The gallery has hosted more than 20 exhibitions in the past four years, ranging from oil, pastels, pen and ink, and watercolors to mixed media and textile art.
Because Fishers City Hall is so large – accommodating up to 60 works, depending on size – these exhibits will feature multiple artists at one time. Multiple pieces may be selected from each artist. While the artwork must reflect the theme of the exhibition, all artwork selected for the show does not necessarily have to relate according to style, process or medium. All submitted pieces must be professionally frames or displayed on stretched canvas with an appropriate wire or hanging mount system.
Special consideration will be given to artists who live, work or have a connection to Fishers, Indiana (e.g. high school graduate, etc.)
If you are interested in being exhibited, please submit the following no later than June 1, 2017:
All submissions will be reviewed by a jury selected by the Fishers Arts Council and the City of Fishers. Artists will be notified by the Fishers Arts Council by June 16, 2017, if selected. A contract must be signed prior to exhibition.
Submission are due by Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 5 p.m.
