Valentine’s Art Night Out

February 14, 2018

6:30 – 9:30 p.m.

The Garfield Park Arts Center (GPAC) is excited to be hosting a new event this year, and they’d love for you to participate! Wednesday, February 14 is Valentine’s Art Night Out! It’s an adults-only event for couples, friends, etc. with art-making stations, live music, and performances.

They are seeking artist instructors to host the art-making stations. This is a paid opportunity to plan and lead a simple “make and take” activity for adults. The activities don’t have to be related to Valentine’s Day, but certainly can be. Some suggestions for activities:

-           Printmaking cards

-           Air dry clay candy dish

-           Felted hearts

-           Wire wrapped jewelry

-           Mini canvas paintings

-           Handmade stamps

-           Finger-knit pot holders

In addition, GPAC will promote instructors before and during the event to encourage exposure to local artists. If you think you’d be interested, email an activity description and supply list to gpac@indy.gov no later than January 24th.
