Indy Author Fair Offers Table Space for Local Authors

Meet an Author, Be an Author
Same great day of programming, new name!
REGISTRATION NOW OPEN FOR AUTHOR SPACE

For the past eight years, the Eugene & Marilyn Glick Indiana Authors Award has partnered with The Indianapolis Public Library and the Indiana Writers Center on the Indy Author Fair, a day devoted to Indiana's readers and writers. Activities included book signings, author panels, writing workshops and more opportunities for booklovers of all ages to meet and learn from local authors and grow as writers themselves. They're looking forward to providing the same day of high-quality literary programming in 2017 but with a new name that better reflects what the day is all about: Meet an Author, Be an Author. Join inĀ on Saturday, October 14, at Indianapolis' Central Library!

A highlight of the day is the chance to discover more than 40 local authors in Central Library's historic Simon Reading Room. Authors receive table space to meet the public, network with other authors and promote their books. Authors will have the opportunity to sell their books, but it is not the focus of the event.

Are you an author interested in receiving table space at this event? Click here to apply. Application period ends July 16. Special consideration will be given to emerging authors. Notification of acceptance will be sent no later than September 1. Applying does not guarantee participation.

For more information about registering for author table space on October 14, please contact Susan Davis with The Indianapolis Public Library at 317-275-4085 or at sdavis@indypl.org.

A full list of participating authors, workshops and presentations at the 2017 Meet an Author, Be an Author event will be available on the Indiana Authors Award website in September.
