Mallow Run Winery, located in Bargersville, Indiana, announces its sixth annual competition for artists to design a label for a limited run of wine bottles, which will be sold to benefit the Greater Greenwood Arts Council. A committee of Arts Council board directors and winery owners will jury entries.

Eligibility:  Artists who reside in Indiana and are at least 18 years old.

Deadline:  Friday, July 28, 2017, 11:59 p.m. Notifications will be sent via email by August 7.

Benefits to Artists:  Although artists are not paid for their work, the Greater Greenwood Arts Council commits to purchasing the original of the winning artwork for placement at Mallow Run, and the artist will be able to sell reproductions of the design to guests at the private wine release party (the Greater Greenwood Arts Council will collect a 20% commission on all sales of reproductions and other artwork sold at this event only).  The winning artist also receives a trophy, press coverage, up to 5 tickets to the release party, and a case of the wine with the label reproducing their artwork (artist must be 21 or older to receive the wine gift).

About the Winery

Mallow Run was founded in 2005 and operates on a seventh-generation 600-acre family farm. The tasting room is located in the hayloft of a nineteenth-century timber-frame barn built circa 1870. It features hand-hewn beams, connecting visitors to the artisans of the past.  Twelves varieties of grapes, including Indiana’s own Traminette, grow in the vineyards producing over 10,000 cases of wine a year. In addition to making a variety of award-winning wines, Mallow Run is also the location of dozens of events throughout the year. Learn more at www.MallowRun.com.
