Olay + ArtWorks “Light as Air” Contest

Olay launched Whips in November 2017 as a light-as-air moisturizer marketed primarily to young women. Formulated differently to work differently, Olay Whips can hold up to 1000x its weight in water and skin-loving ingredients, enabling the product to flash absorb into skin for a light-as-air finish.

ArtWorks and Olay are partnering to host a contest to select regional (Ohio/Kentucky/Indiana tri-state area residents), women (identifying) artists to develop public art activations inspired by the Whips product and the complementary theme “Light as Air”.

Creative works should be inspired by the Olay Whips product; use of the Olay Whips logo is permitted, however, art should not be a literal reproduction of the logo and may be inspired by brand assets (font, color, or imagery). ArtWorks will manage a juried design competition to inform public art outcomes inspired by the product. The launch period will be in Spring 2018.

ArtWorks will implement a series of thoughtfully and strategically curated activations, which includes opportunities for clusters of vinyl mini murals and large-scale sculptural installations, in the neighborhoods of Over-the-Rhine and the Central Business District in the urban core of Cincinnati, OH.
