The 2017 HCAA Visual Arts Major Scholarship guidelines and application form are now available!

Two scholarships of $1,000 will be awarded in the Spring 2017, for school year 2017-2018.

The 2017 scholarship awards are made possible by a generous gift from Ken Bloomhorst in memory of his wife Roberta “Birdie” Bloomhorst and by memorial gifts in honor of Dorothy Chase and through donations from other HCAA artists.

The HCAA Visual Arts Major Scholarship applicant must:

  • Be a U.S. citizen and resident of Hamilton County, Indiana.
  • Graduate by July 1, 2017 from a high school located in Hamilton County (includes public and private schools or the equivalent).
  • Plan to major in the field of visual arts as an art major. (For the purpose of this scholarship, visual arts means drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, fiber arts, glass art, ceramics, jewelry making (not stringing), metal crafting, wood working, and art education.)
  • Complete the Application Form and submit it along with all required documents via email or regular mail by the deadline of February 27, 2017.
