Seeking Proposals: Fountain Square Creative Center Building

Fountain Square Creative Center (working name) is still seeking proposals for use of its building at 2119 Prospect St.  They've gotten some interesting proposals for an artist co-op, non-profit arts use, performance space and others, some of which are being considered.  They will continue to seek ideas and proposals until they settle on a specific plan.

The building has a nice, open space on the ground floor of about 3,000 square feet, and a daylight-filled second floor suitable for offices or artist studios.  Ideally a single arts-related organization, or two or more organizations partnering, would occupy the building and use it as their dedicated space, generating enough income to support use of the building and helping make it a neighborhood asset.

A use that enables some community or public engagement with the building is encouraged.

So far, the most viable proposal they've seen envisions an organization using the ground floor for its use, subletting artist studios on the second floor to generate income and configuring the ground floor in a way that it is functional for its purpose, but allows use as an event venue, gallery or performance space as needed.

The entire building could be artist spaces, an arts co-op, a non-profit headquarters, a gallery with artist spaces, or ???, as long as it is managed by the organization occupying it.
