About the Opportunity:
The Indianapolis Museum of Contemporary Art (iMOCA), Englewood Community Development Corporation (ECDC), and Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) are partnering to bring back the Wonderland Film Festival (know as the Englewood Neighborhood Film Festival last year), one in a series of creative placemaking projects within the Near Eastside Great Places 2020. The festival is part of an initiative to turn strategic Indianapolis spaces into town centers of culture, commerce and community.Successful projects will connect people together with the distinct place, history, stories, or culture of the Near Eastside Great Place. We encourage a broad range of creativity from individuals or organizations for original films of any genre. Expensive or professional equipment is not a requirement -- quality short films recorded and edited on cell phones will even be considered. Submissions are strongly encouraged from all levels of experience and we invite anyone interested to participate in a series of filmmaking workshops on topics of script writing, prop and costume making, cinematography, and editing.

About the Wonderland Film Festival:
This night of free public film screenings is an invitation to celebrate movie making and storytelling in the Near Eastside, while transforming the ¼ mile radius around East Washington Street and North Oxford Street into a welcoming space for neighbors and visitors alike.

Eligibility and Selection:
The workshops and festival are open to all individuals or organizations with any level of experience in filmmaking. All submissions will be reviewed by a committee of jurors and notified by September 9th, 2017 about their inclusion in the festival. Preference will be given to those affiliated with the Near Eastside, defined as the geographic area with Emerson Ave to the east; CSX railroad to the south; I-65 to the west; and I-70 to the north. The ideal film length is approximately 4 to 7 minutes, but shorter and longer films will all be considered.
