10th Annual Miniature Fine Art Show

The 10th Annual Miniature Fine Art Show opens to the public at no charge, at 2 p.m. Saturday July 23, 2016.The show runs from Saturday July 23rd –Saturday August 27th.
Explore meticulously detailed works of art created by the some of the most talented artists working in miniature. Miniature Fine Art is defined as original fine art on a small scale with exquisite attention to detail. The size of the subject is generally 1/6 of its actual size or smaller. The most extreme works in miniature are created under magnifiers with brushes as small as a 30/0. Due to the tiny nature of this art, its creation can take up 6-8 times longer than a work of art created to scale.
This type of artwork is meant to be experienced up close and often under a magnifying glass. Experience tiny detailed drawings in graphite, colored pencil, pastel, ink and hand colored engravings as well as paintings in watercolor, oil and acrylic. Subjects include: landscape, seascape, cityscape, wildlife, portrait, figure and still life. The framed artwork ranges in size from 3 x 4 to 6 x 8 inches. All artwork is available for purchase will remain in the gallery for the duration of the show.
