#ArtsEdWeekIndy: IPS Student Performers Showcase

What better way to celebrate National Arts in Education Week than by watching Indianapolis Public School students perform and showcase their artistic talents? Continue the celebration of National Arts in Education Week in Indianapolis on Friday, September 16, 12:15 pm at the Indianapolis Artsgarden with special musical performances by the following student groups:

• Indy Jazz Fest Jazz Futures
• Vocal nonet from Roussea McClellan School 91
• Saxophone quartet from Broad Ripple and Shortridge High Schools
• Herron High School Jazz Ensemble

NATIONAL ARTS IN EDUCATION WEEK, SEPTEMBER 11 – 17
The Arts Council of Indianapolis and its Any Given Child Indy initiative, a partnership with Indianapolis Public Schools and the Mayor’s Office, are celebrating National Arts in Education Week from September 11 – 17 along with the rest of the country. Designated by Congress in 2010, through House Resolution 275, National Arts in Education Week is a national celebration that promotes and showcases the important role of the arts in education.
