Bird Pin Carving Workshop SURPASSING ADVERSITY: THE JAPANESE AMERICAN JOURNEY

In a basic woodcarving class create a bird pin similar to those in the exhibit.

To while away the time, they carved birds.  Carver Bob Lawrence will lead a beginning woodcarving session to create your own bird pin.  Like those exhibited in Surpassing Adversity: The Japanese American Journey. Registration required. This session is limited to those over 18 years of age. Cost $25. All supplied will be provided. Bring a pair of work gloves that can be cut up. This will help protect your hands. Bring your lunch to eat as you carve. Tea and coffee…

Cost is $25.  Capacity is 15 carvers. Tools will be provided.  Bring your lunch and a pair of gloves that can be cut up to protect your hands.
