Sheila Kay Adams comes from a place in Madison County, North Carolina, renowned for its unbroken tradition of unaccompanied ballad singing. Like her book of the same name, Come Go Home with Me provides a rare portrait of the distinctive mountain community. In addition to being a delightful raconteur of mountain life, Sheila is an accomplished clawhammer style banjo player. Her artistry conveys a powerful sense of family and place.
