Live performances, storytelling, and an art exhibit celebrate the journeys and achievements of five Indianapolis African American women.
Centered on the work of poet Mari Evans, enjoy traditional and contemporary versions of "Celebrations” and "I am a Black Woman" performed by locals Ophelia Wellington, founder of Freetown Village, and Tony Styxx, spoken-word poet.
