The Full Circle Nine Gallery (FC9) is proud to announce that photographer Kimberly Ewing, and her show, “Paradise at Last” will be the featured artist for the April IDADA First Friday Art Tour, on Friday, April 7th. The show will premiere 6-9pm, and admission is free.
Ewing is dedicating her show to her supervisor, the late Bob Kizer, President and CEO of the Starfish Initiative. Kizer passed away from cancer in February, and raising awareness toward cancer research has long been an inspiration in Ewing’s art, as well as a personal cause. “Bob was a true visionary and committed to changing the lives of economically disadvantaged high school students by preparing them for college and career success,” said Ewing. “He was a true example of a great mentor and walked his talk.”
Kizer had recently returned from a favorite vacation spot in Hawaii, and Ewing’s work will center on tropical vistas. “I wanted to personalize this show, just for him, because one of the last pictures he posted, he was in Hawaii,” said Ewing, noting that Kizer’s caption read, “Worshipping God in his Paradise.”
