Gritty. Passionate. Moving. PIAF Plus will celebrate France (via Carmel) with two dance pieces that celebrate of the music of Jacques Brel and Edith Piaf. In Frère Jacques, David Hochoy’s choreography reflects the comic flair and in-your-face lyrics of songs by Jacques Brel. Piaf: a Celebration features the passionate. moving voice of “The Little Sparrow,” as French cabaret singer Edith Piaf was known.
