Nobody Can Tell Me What To Do, Not Even Me!

:icongershz:

There are neither good nor bad subjects.
From the point of view of pure Art,
you could almost establish it as an axiom that the subject is irrelevant,
style itself being an absolute manner of seeing things.

Of all lies, art is the least untrue.

Anything becomes interesting if you look at it long enough.

Gustave Flaubert

My name is Gersh and I’m a self-taught well-published Professional Photographer, Artist, Sci-fi & How-To Professional Photography & How-To Art Writer & Designer.

I started drawing and painting when I was 3 and the first time I had my photography work published was when I was a very young child.

I have never gone to school to study art, writing, design and/or photography, nor have I had anyone teaching me any of the said disciplines.

My art work comprises of a very large collection of black and white and color images which have been created by me in various styles, some of which are surrealism, realism, impressionism and other well-known artistic expressions, in addition to those which have been pioneered by me.

What sets me apart from all other artists, is not only a distinct style of my work, but also the fact that I work in almost each and every medium and genre and pioneer my own genres.

A large portion of my work are storyboards and illustration for books written by me, nevertheless there are also images which are not a part of any project.

They say that every image is worth a thousand words and that every image is a story. My art speaks for itself and I’m not here to describe it, because if my images couldn’t speak for themselves and could not tell stories, they wouldn’t be worth of even looking at them, needless speaking of being published and admired by people.

My art is not only a product of my knowledge, imagination, but is also a result of experiences achieved through the exploration of various mediums. From pen and Indian ink, charcoal, markers, oil, graphite, acrylics to less known materials, some of which have been created by me. Despite what has been said, I do not stick with any particular style, but on contrary remain a free explorer of various mediums and styles, which leaves me free not to be told what to do, not even by me, but to remain free in my exploration of the ways and choices to achieve an absolute paramount in my artistic-expression!
