Art in City Hall – Call for Artists for the 2018 Season

The Fishers Arts Council is currently seeking 2D artists interested in participating in six (6) exhibits in 2018 as part of Art in City
Hall, an art gallery located in Fishers City Hall (One Municipal Drive). The gallery space is located on two floors of the municipal
building.

There is a hanging system, but no special lighting in the exhibit space. The gallery has hosted more than 20 exhibitions in the
past five years, ranging from oil, pastels, pen and ink, and watercolors to mixed media and textile art.

Because Fishers City Hall is so large – accommodating up to 60 works, depending on size – these exhibits may feature multiple
artists at one time. Multiple pieces may be selected from each artist. While the artwork must reflect the theme of the
exhibition, all artwork selected for the show does not necessarily have to relate according to style, process or medium. All
submitted pieces must be professionally framed or displayed on stretched canvas with an appropriate wire or hanging mount
system.

Special consideration will be given to artists who live, work or have a connection to Fishers, Indiana (e.g. high school graduate,
etc.)

If you are interested in being exhibited, please submit the following:

  • Artist Statement and Biography
  • Connection to Fishers, Indiana (if applicable)
  •  No more than 10 digital images of your work, including specific pieces for the show if they are already created.
  • (Please note: Submitted works must be suitable for all audiences, including pre-school children.)

will notify artists on or before April 7, 2018 of selection. A contract must be signed prior to exhibition.
