THE HERO’S JOURNEY ART PROJECT HONORING CLINICAL TRIAL
PARTICIPANTS at Cancer Support Community Central Indiana
A COMMUNITY-SOURCED WORK OF ART HONORING CLINICAL TRIAL PATIENTS

Acollaboration between Eli Lilly and Company and artist John Magnan

The Hero’s Journey is a collaboration among Eli Lilly and Company and the clinical trial
community. Conceived by Lilly’s Clinical Innovation team and inspired by ePatient
conversations, Lilly commissioned the artist John Magnan to build crowdsourced sculptures
honoring clinical trial participants. A total of 1,000 personalized decorated wooden bricks have
been contributed by Lilly clinical trial physicians, scientists, researchers, patients and
caregivers, including more than 20 created by local Cancer Support Community participants.
The bricks, collected as one in the sculpture, represent the diversity of the clinical research
community.Cancer Support Community is honored to be one of only three locations in the
United States where the sculptures will be displayed. Join us in the charge to raise awareness!
We invite you to visit and interact with the sculpture. Walk around it. Peer inside. Take
pictures. Watch the documentary. Share and spread the word on social media.
