Memoir 101: How to Write Your Story

Memoir 101: How to Write Your Story

Presented by Indiana Writers Center at Indiana Writers Center

Instructor: Tracy Line

So many of us have been shaped by our life experiences. We have a story to tell but don’t know where to begin. In this 4-week class participants will gain an understanding of the memoir genre and learn the steps for writing an engaging story. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from one another as we write and share our work each week. Topics covered will include: how to narrow the scope of your story, how to use scenes, dialogue, and characters to enhance your story, and how to tell your story honestly and objectively.
