The Arts Council of Indianapolis is seeking a Manager of Grant Programs. Reporting to the Vice President, Community Impact & Investment the position is to manage all organization grant programs (50%) and artist fellowship programs (50%) serving the city's artists and arts organizations. This includes contracts, operations, and grantmaking technology. The Manager of Grant Programs provides direct outreach to the arts community to recruit applicants and to educate applicants about the grant program opportunities. He/She is the primary contact for grant writers and development officers of grant partner organizations.

Major Areas of Responsibility
As the manager guiding the day-to-day operations of grant programs, this role:

● Develops, implements, manages all activities relating to regranting programs, including the Creative Renewal Arts Fellowship Program, City of Indianapolis Annual Grants Program, Robert D. Beckmann, Jr. Emerging Artist Fellowship Program, DeHaan Artist of Distinction Award, and related programs, such as COVID-19 relief programs.
● Conducts the staff evaluation and assessment of the impact of all grant programs and fellowships including generation of periodic and annual reports.
● Coordinates grant panel reviews including orientation, communications, preparation of application materials for review, live discussion moderation, and development of reports and recommendations for board approval.
● Counsels artists and arts organizations on agency grant applications; conducts preliminary reviews on applications, and manages all final and interim grant award reporting.
● Provides resources and services to the city's artists and arts organizations as related to programs and services.
● Coordinates other grant related agency programs, referral services, and technical assistance services.
● Helps develop the policies of the agency and works in all areas of agency and cultural planning.
● Coordinates or works as part of a team on agency activities and special events, such as Start with Art, Artsgarden, and related efforts as appropriate.
● Works with the senior staff on technology components as they relate to grants programs and other agency services.

Manager, Grant Programs Requirements
● Bachelor's degree in arts management, nonprofit management, or related field
● Experience in grant writing, development, budget management, and/or arts or fund development
● Experience in grants administration and management
● Bilingual in Spanish a plus
