CASTING CALL for The Taming of the Shrew
Presented by the Noblesville Cultural Arts Commission

AUDITION DATES
Monday, May 24 from 7:00-9:00 PM
Tuesday, May 25 from 7:00-9:00 PM
Auditions will be held at Emmanuel United Methodist Church
16000 Cumberland Rd. Noblesville, IN 46060
Strict safety measures will be enforced.
Your temperature will be taken upon entry. Mask-wearing is required while inside the building and social distancing will be enforced.

PERFORMANCE DATES
July 15-17, 22-24
Performances to be held at Federal Hill Commons, Noblesville.
Strict safety measures will be enforced.

HOW TO PREPARE
Please prepare a monologue (45-60 seconds). You will be asked to read from the script. Bring a list of all conflicts. Read through 5/27, rehearsals Mon-Thur beginning 6/7.

CAST OF CHARACTERS AND STAGE AGE
Lucentio, in love with Bianca, later posing as Cambio – age 25 to 35
Petruchio, suitor to Kate – age 28 to 40
Katherine, the shrew – age 25 to 35
Bianca, her sister – age 20 to 30
Baptista Minola, father to Kate and Bianca – age 55 to 75
Gremio, a pantaloon, suitor to Bianca – “elderly”
Hortensio, suitor to Bianca, later posing as Litio – age 30 to 50
Tranio, servant to Lucentio, later posing as Lucentio – age 30 to 45
Biondello, page to Lucentio – age 20 to 35
Grumio, servant to Petruchio – age 30 to 55
Curtis, servant to Petruchio – age 25 to 50
A Tailor – age 20-up
