IDADA First Friday at Vonnegut Library--Songs My Mother Sang: A WWII Tribute

IDADA First Friday at Vonnegut Library. May 3. 6:00 pm – "Songs My Mother Sang: A WWII Tribute" will take place at the Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library. 340 N. Senate Avenue, Indianapolis. Wearing her mother’s original World War II WAVE uniform and singing songs of the era, Glory-June Greiff tells of her parents’ meeting and courtship while in the Navy and reads excerpts from cherished letters, putting a human face on a war that no one could ignore. This event is free and open to the public.
