John Merigian grew up in urban Detroit and specializes in figurative public sculpture. As a high school student he studied with sculptor Michael Hall at the Cranbrook Academy of Art and later received his B.F.A. from the University of Michigan. He also has a M.F.A. in Sculpture from Wayne State University. Merigian’s work has been exhibited extensively in national and regional shows, is represented in galleries, and is in private collections around the nation. He lives in Detroit, Michigan.
