Sean Imboden, a native of Indianapolis, grew up in a musical family and began piano lessons at an early age. Following in the footsteps of his father, Sean started clarinet in grade school and added saxophone in high school. He earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Indiana University and a Master of Music degree from the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College. Immediately following school, Sean went on the road and toured internationally for several years with various Broadway productions including Hairspray, A Chorus Line, and Young Frankenstein. He has performed on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and with the Radio City Music Hall Orchestra, the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Aretha Franklin, The Temptations, Barry Manilow, Johnny Mathis, Idina Menzel, and Slide Hampton. As a featured soloist for Blast II, Sean toured Japan twice. Now leading his own various ensembles, Sean engages audiences with fresh improvisation and compositions. Along with a diverse schedule of performance and recording, Sean is an adjunct professor at Butler University and Indiana University. www.seanimboden.com
