Performing Arts: Music, Vocal
My music is as varied as my influences. I write music for guitar duets, solo fingerstyle guitar, string quintents, and my favorite, the power trio. When I perform I like to cover all these different line ups in movements that vary from show to show so everyone gets bang for their buck. As far as musical genre goes…. I don’t really have one, nor do I want to fit into one. The idea of being pigeonholed into one style of music is to me is a very one dimensional process. So when you come to my shows, you hear it all within the different arrangements I compose for. Classical music, blues, rock, metal, hip-hop, progg, experimental. Happy music, sad music, and more importantly original music. I also have 0 intention of writing music that’s supposed to appeal to just one age group or group of people. The more of my music you listen to, the more you’ll get to know me.

A fixture on the Indianapolis music scene, Joel Conner has played virtually every kind of music and given hundreds of performances. Guitar, bass, and keys are among the 30 instruments he plays. His song, “Winter Blast,” was featured on the holiday special “Rocking Hoosier Holiday,” which was nominated for a regional Emmy. Best known as a founder of local bands Whiskey, Undercover, and Indiscretion, he continues to work on new projects.

DRJAR formed sometime in 2014. We have tried to come up with a sound that we can be proud of and shows that can bring smiles to everyone the world over. We have a brand of Midwest Rock that resembles many, but is unique to us. We play original and cover tunes (Eagles, Guardians of the Galaxy music shows, Journey, etc). Using five part vocal harmonies, keys, bass, drums, and guitars, we enjoy playing our blend of all types of music from the Woodstock 1969 era to songs from present day. Look for our 4-CD set of originals, The Red, White & Blue (and Gold) Albums in local artist bins or available on Cool River Records via this site.
This is DRJAR, a group of 5 Indy musicians. Mainstays of several bands, Dave Daugherty (Whiskey), Robert Bruce Scott (Il Troubadore), Joel Temus Conner (Undercover), Amy Jackson (Indiscretion), and Ric Ritter – collectively DR JAR!
We’re ready to take your party or venue to the next level musically! Book us today!

I’I’m an Indianapolis based artist, illustrator and self-publisher with a focus on astronomical art and space travel.
I’m all about empowering others through art, music, DIY/Zine culture, and comics! I hope to encourage others to be curious, explore the world around them, and embrace science.
I have taught bass guitar and zine making for Indianapolis Girls Rock camp, instructed art courses for Forever Fit Summer Camp, and led workshops on zine making and rubber stamp creation for Indianapolis’ Gluestick Festival. Even though I never received a degree in art, I love to paint watercolors and write/draw comics on the daily. I always have a sketchbook and you’ll probably see me drawing in it while at the pub.
When I’m not making art and zines, I enjoy reading, urban sketching, going on adventures with Vyvyan (the wonder pup) and playing bass/singing in a few punk bands.
