Visual Arts: Mixed Media, Painting, Works on paper
Diane has been, all her life, an artist. Her mind is cluttered with thoughts, emotions and ideas that will eventually get put to canvas (or wood, or leather, or anything else she can get to hold still – even a rock)!
She sold her first painting at the age of 13. Today, there are wall murals adorning many homes throughout central Indiana and paintings hanging in homes all across the country. Diane has always had a driving force within her to create and express her emotions through art.
Probably, as with any “artist”, to create in any shape, form or medium is a release, a comfort, and a very necessary means to an end…that being to replace fear, anger, loneliness, sadness and pain with calm, peace, and serenity. Diane’s style is eclectic, spontaneous, and ever changing! There is so much inspiration in the world, how can one possibly limit their creativity to one style or one medium and her “style” is subject to change on a day to day basis, depending upon what happens to be the inspiration at the moment. This is neither good nor bad…it is what it is. Through art, Diane is able to transform “reality” into whatever she wishes or needs it to be. To be human is to experience good times and painful times, which is reflected in Diane’s art. Sometimes it is only visible to her but, sometimes, the art speaks very loudly with emotions it needs to convey. That is something for each individual to determine as they gaze upon her art.

I am an Indy-born, corn-fed, Indy-raised artist through and through! I have studied art at both Purdue and Duke Universities under professional artists that have produced exhibitions for the Indy Airport, National Geographic, and other large-scale audiences. For the last 7 years, I’ve done mural work for several Indy communities including Noblesville, Fishers, Vincennes, and Cumberland. In my time spent living in Boston and Los Angeles over the last 5 years, I also developed skills in exotic face and body painting, pottery, and stained glass, adding a unique skillset and aesthetic style to my teacher abilities and artwork.
In 2018, I formed Hue Murals LLC (fully licensed by the state of Indiana). I offer classes and studio time, work on large scale mural projects, travel to festivals and cultural events to share face and body painting, project manage for local art partners, and more.

She has worked for 10 years in architecture then made the decision to focus on her two children and her love of painting. She moved with her family to Florence Italy in 2007 where she was able to explore and further develop her skills through her studies in art history and studio painting. While in Italy Paula began teaching a beginners painting class. Teaching art has since become her passion. For more info visit Artofpaula.com
For me colors are what drive my paintings. I started out painting with acrylics then oil. I painted landscapes and I become absorbed in the colors of the composition even more than the subject. Today I am interested in how colors react next to one another to create balance or a bold statement. Lately I have been experimenting with the fluidity of paints. I am using oil enamel because I like the way it flows and I like the glossy finish when it is dry. Enamel flows almost like stained glass. It is my intent to use this fluidity to create organic shapes that contrast with the concrete. Like the slow growing rings on a tree or coral flowing underwater. I want to explore more these shapes and medium.

My work is a visual interpretation of life in its many forms whether it is human, animal, insect or flora. I work quickly to capture a sense of spontaneity while using colorful, passionate and deliberate marks. Inspiration comes unexpectedly through a chance encounter or by trying to work through life issues, problems or celebrations. I feel work that comes easily, seemingly without effort, comes from a source greater than myself. Work that meets resistance or difficulty forces me to work through problems on paper using sketches and/or studies before applying them to a more permanent support.
I am consistently inspired by Michelangelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, Franz Kline, Richard Diebenkorn and Edgar Degas to name a few. I hope my work inspires others to discover their own creativity and helps them see the world as the colorful creation it is.

I am a visual artist from Indianapolis, IN. While using various mediums, with acrylic paint being my current focus, I create works of art to enlighten the hearts of others and bring health and happiness into my own life. Using bright colors, crisp lines, and whimsical flowing designs I create paintings and sculptures to represent the world around and within us all. My works are inspired by dreams, meditation experiences, folklore, metaphysics, and the world observed from my imaginative perspective.
My artwork has been displayed in many galleries around Indianapolis such as The Harrison Center for the Arts, The Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art, The Primary Colors Gallery, Garfield Park Art Center and many more. Traveling to music festivals such as Resonance Music and Arts Festival, Rootwire Transformational Arts Festival, Good People Good Times, The Werk Out Festival to name a few are also places that have offered me the opportunity to share inspiration to new audiences through my artwork.
I am currently the owner of Imagination Jubilation Indy, a local business that brings happiness to the community through artistic entertainment. From face painting, balloon twisting, henna tattoos, caricature portraits, art lessons, and live painting Imagination Jubilation allows creativity to flow graciously to kids and adults of all ages in the Indianapolis Community. Never limiting my artwork to a specific area or artist, I plan to extend my outreach to others across the globe during my life to inspire others to create, learn, and grow.
“Our world can be beautiful if we look for the beauty to be grateful for. Everyday I try to find something to be thankful for because I feel it attracts more beauty to inspire my life. I am thankful for the gift of growing. I am blessed for receiving the gift of creating art in my life. I am grateful for the experience of living and the opportunity to flourish. I want to find the beautiful things, the plentiful gifts and blessing of this life and paint them for others to see in case they forget to look for the beauty themselves.” – Julie Young
Jason’s style is one of “physicality” along the likes of Jackson Pollock and the abstract expressionists of the 1950’s. His work is collected everywhere from corporate collections to homes throughout the United States. His work has also been showcased in art galleries in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, and throughout the Midwest. His recent work, both big and bold, has been inspired by the vivid color, texture, and beauty of Loreto, The Baja where from 2007 until 2010 Jason had a studio/gallery. Currently, Jason creates his unique paintings in his studio in Indianapolis, Indiana.

I believe that art, creativity and motivation are all about feelings and emotions. I am an artist that strives in the everyday to keep things simple and spread positivity. I look for the peace and zen in the hustle and bustle, excitement and wonders of life and nature around us. I draw, paint, photograph, motivate, write, design and mix together artistic elements and media of all types to evoke fine art, literary and graphic design works that convey what I feel and visualize. Positive, creative energy is infectious…Other artists inspire me; I hope that I inspire other artists too! Inspirational ‘props’ to Russian street artist Pavel Puhov for his work entitled, Eyeglasses. LOVE IT!
