About My Work:

Over the past two years, my poems have appeared in several dozen publications online and in-print. Chapbooks of my poetry are available, or will become available, with Greying Ghost Press, Spooky Girlfriend Press, Dancing Girl Press, Further Adventures Press, and Wyrd Tree Press. You may also read short collections online at Scantily Clad Press, Ungovernable Press, and Blue Hour Press. Contact me for more information.

My work tends to be in response to rural landscapes and natural patterns (environmental and social). I’m most influenced by folk and found art, rustic language, etymology, and local history.

From a review of my first chapbook, Borrowed House:

“Brooklyn Copeland’s poems navigate a unique textual space. Her chapbook, Borrowed House: 15 Poems, balances several impulses that might seem contradictory: the erotic with the Platonic, the experimental with the traditional. The poems have a depth, solidity and slowness that distinguishes them from more urbanized post-avant poetry; they bespeak a slow gestation process and a gentle-but-firm crafting hand.”
