I have made my living as a stone sculptor since 1975 and plan to sculpt as long as I can hold a chisel. My private art collection consists of Pre-Columbian, African-Oceanic and most recently, Ethnographic works form Indonesia. Like the primitive artist, my sculptures have minimal detail, clean lines, and positive optimistic rounded forms. When possible, they also include movement, action, and humor.
Schiefer is a stone sculptor and is influenced by pre-Columbian and African-Oceanic sculpture and artifacts. Like the “primitive” artist, his sculptures have minimal detail, clean lines, and positive optimistic rounded forms. When possible, they also include movement, action, and humor.
