I moved to Indianapolis from the Evansville, IN area in 1990. I have been a freelance fine artist and photographer for over 40 years. I am a certified graphic designer. I work in oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels and collage as well as photography and digital medial. I specialize in portraiture, both human and animal. I love doing all forms of artwork. I was the photographer for The Repertory People of Evansville, a theatre
I love making portratis. The moment when you capture a likeness is grand. Photography captures a moment, a feeling in time. My collages spring from deep inside me and I never know for sure what they are going to say until they are finished. I enjoy capturing personality, whether in people, animals or even a landscape. My computer work – well it’s like having a photo lab and a paintbox all in one!
My prices are $100.00 and up.
I have taken some college classes including a short time at Herron School of Art. I have taken many classes at the Indianapolis Art center, studying pastel and oil painting with Jan Royce and figure study with Caroline Mecklin. I have taken a watercolor class and a printmaking class. I studied photography with Mike Bowman. Mostly I was self-taught until 1991.
