DEREK TUDER’S ARTIST STATEMENT
My artwork takes every viewer on a journey of a lifetime filled with twists & turns and wanting more.
My work explores a vast array of mediums while seeking new ones to open eyes, hearts and minds to boldly go where they’ve never been before.
I have engaged in subjects as diverse as therapeutic art that changes the mood and feel of people or rooms, trending topics, social issues, community engagement, spiritual & whimsical, just to name a few.
I arrange my work into new, conceptually layered installations uniquely designed to fit its gallery’s exhibition while inviting the viewer to move into a space of speculation, intrigue and conversation.
