“My work in photography and mixed media has concerned itself with looking at image making as a poetic process. A plastic process that uses images drawings, paintings, objects locations and other kinds of graphic information as elements that are combined in my images. Primarily my work concerns itself with the inter-connectivity of human society.” Edward Matalon

Ed was a friend when we attended RIT together in the late 70’s. Always loved his work, which at that time centered on industrial style printed images which were gorgeous. We have a few large prints, but I’d love to see more of what he did during his prolific life.

I knew him when he was blending different art periods into one image. And the cosmic thing of today is I just finished
Hi Kimberly,
View lessJust happened on your message today, though 2 years after you posted it. I was a close friend of Ed. I’m a photographer (Chicago Art Institute 1980) and knew Ed when he lived in Baltimore in the 90s…. I’m still here. I actually was pallbearer at his funeral. I knew him when he was blending different art periods into one image. And the cosmic thing of today is I just finished a zoom (visiting artist) with the photo dept at RIT 30 minutes ago. I’d love to see the images you have of Ed’s. I have one of his “blending” images. Feel free to contact me at strobissimo@gmail.com
